2019: PDP boasts of returning to power, says APC suffocating Nigerians

The Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the former ruling party remains strong, intact and strategizing to take over power in 2019 from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). PDD which said it will no longer allow itself to be distracted by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and “his cohorts in the ruling party, the APC,” added that Nigerians are suffering under the scourging and suffocating miss-governance of the APC and promised it will as the opposition, continue to hold the government accountable to its promises. A recent report had quoted PDP National Working Committee chairman, Makarfi, to have described PDP as broke and unable to meet its financial obligation to staff at the research and training institute, the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI) in Abuja. Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja has granted Shamsudeen Bala, son of a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed N100 million bail and has ordered that he be remanded in Kuje prison pending the perfection of his bail terms which includes two sureties in the sum of N50million each.

Ondo Local Government chairman slumps, dies in hotel room

Chairman of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State died in the early hours of today, after attending a political meeting with Governor Mimiko. Agunola Omomowo, popularly known as 'Adoration' was said to have slumped in his hotel room shortly after the meeting and was confirmed dead on arrival at a local hospital in the area. Late Omomowo was elected as the Ilaje Local Government Chairman on March 24, 2016 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP)

Sari Rezita Ariyanti looks like a three-year-old girl, but she is actually 24-years-old. Born in 1993, the second of five children, Sari who weighs 20kg and is 87cm tall, speaks, acts and is as helpless as a child. She also cannot walk and has to be pushed around in a wheel chair.  Sari struggles to speak and only makes sounds which her mother alone can understand. She is totally dependent and lives with her mother, Suryani H Suud and sister Lela in Didie Jaya District, Indonesia. It's not true that our borders aren't safe' - Angelina Jolie reacts to Trump's travel ban

Actress Angelina Jolie in a recent op-ed for the New York Times has weighed in on President Donald Trump's immigration ban, accusing him of ignoring facts about how refugees get into the U.S. " It is simply not true that our borders are overrun or that refugees are admitted to the United States without close scrutiny. Refugees are subject to the highest level of screening of any category of traveler to the United States'  she wrote. Angelina works with the UN's High Commissioner for Refugees. She's also adopted 3 children born outside the country and she says she understands security from terrorism is of the utmost importance, but thinks  "our response must be measured and should be based on facts, not fear."  In the article, she never mentions Trump by name, but says she'd want any president to work with people of all faiths around the world to make all nations more secure.
